Soccer + Creek +Love + Kings Dominion = Awesome Weekend

While the boys are napping I took the chance to edit a few photos from last weekend. Last weekend was crazy busy but full of some really great moments!

Emma had an early morning soccer game so I let the guys all sleep in and I went to the game alone... was nice to have some quite time to sit, drink my coffee and really watch the game! Usually I'm running around after the kiddos and only able to half focus on the game.

After the game Emma's friend came over and we hung out at the creek by the house.

Literally 15 minutes after climbing out of the creek with the kiddos my mom was picking up the kids for the night and Matt and I were heading down to D.C. to celebrate the engagement of Tory and Scott! Tory was a former co-worker and I LOVE HER!!! So excited for these two!

The next day we were up bright and early to take Emma, her friend Julia, and Hunter to Kings Dominion!

GREAT WEEKEND!

Weekend update

Dude we ROCKED this weekend! We are just knocking off items on my list of goals for the month of May!

FRIDAY-
  • Moved our old living room chairs over to my dear friend Virginia's house! She also received our old sofa, earlier in the week. Have to pay her back someway for all of the AMAZING photos that she takes of my family! ** If you live in Northern Virginia please check her out! House of Maps Photography
SATURDAY-
  • Woke up SUPER early to drive, an hour, to Warrenton for Emma's soccer game. Just the two of us went and it was great talking to her during the trip.
  • Cleaned out my Van... Matt feels that I do not appreciate my car and that it is always a disaster... He has cleaned it out multiple times and it always just goes back to its former junky glory... SOOOO he said that I needed to full detail it myself so that I would fully appreciate the effort that it takes to clean the car... Three hours later... after a lot of internal cursing... the car is immaculate...
  • Made this yummy dinner from veggies that I bought at the Farmers Market last week... Sooo good. Just some avocado oil, asparagus, peppers, tomatoes and salt/pepper to taste.
  • My little guy learned to stand up on his own. He is up to 4 steps now... YAY!
  • After getting the boys to bed Emma and I went to see the new Pitch Perfect movie.
SUNDAY-
  • I successfully donated my 2000th item and fully completed my Declutter 2000 GOAL!!! WAHOOOO. I plan to keep my momentum going though and getting fully organized with the help of THIS book.
  • We are ALMOST done with the closet in the boys room AND I made a bed skirt! Bed skirt update tomorrow.
  • I took my measurements to start the 21 Day fix workout regimen from Beachbody. I did my first workout this morning... 20 days to go :-) My goal is to really just tone and start the habit of leading a healthier life. Cannot believe that I'm sharing this but here is a before.

Scenes from our weekend

We had a pretty productive weekend in the Park household!

FIRST I would like to pass that I am now up to 1300 items purged from my household! HUGE accomplishment from the weekend!

We also, ripped out the current closet in the boy's bedroom. We purchased a ClosetMaid system from Home Depot... We still have a ways to go (Patching, Painting, assembling) but at least we have started and I hope to be done by next weekend. Thinking that we can tackle a little each night.

Gibson was highly amused by all of the activity surrounding the closet! AND speaking of Gibson he had a big weekend, in terms of development! He learned how to crawl safely down the steps and learned how to crawl on/off the sofa!

Matt cleaned and put together Hunter's new big boy 5 point harness Britax Car seats! We feel so blessed that we received these as a hand me down from my sister-in-law... this was a savings of over $500! There were two pieces that were missing but we were able to buy replacement parts from Britax for only $50. Once the parts come in Hunter will go into these and Gibson will go into the car seat that Hunter has been in... Flipped backwards of course.

Went to Emma's Soccer game!

We instituted a NO ELECTRONICS rule in the house this weekend, for the kiddos, and it was AMAZING! As a family we played games, Emma did a lot of bike riding, and just spent quality time TOGETHER. Emma even let Hunter touch her legos!

We purchased a sofa from Joss and Main! The Camden Sofa in Gray. She is big at 90" and we are so excited! My parents bought her for me as an early birthday gift! I'm a little on edge about buying a sofa that I've never sat on (something I said I would NEVER do) but the chance to get this $1695 sofa for only $691 was too good of a deal to pass up. Fingers crossed this gamble pays off!

Weekend Re-Cap

We had a busy weekend in the Park household...

On Saturday Gibson and I attended a beautiful bridal shower for an old co-worker, Lauren, in Old Town Alexandria.

Gibson slept the majority of the time and only woke up to eat right at the very end of the brunch.

After the shower I headed over to the Crate and Barrel Outlet! Amazing! I always end up finding some great deals here and I plan to do a post later this afternoon to share some awesome deals that I found there!

I also took a few minutes to pop into Whole Foods to buy some beautiful flowers. With spring in the air I wanted to bring some beauty into our house!

I LOVE THEM!!!

On Saturday we also had Emma's first soccer game of the season. Matt stayed home with Hunter while he was "trying" to take a nap... we are not really getting the whole nap in a toddler bed thing... Soooo Gibson and I went to the game alone. We only stayed for one quarter because it got super cold and windy in the afternoon.

Yesterday,  had a mini breakdown in the morning.. I'm sure due to lack of sleep. Matt was great though and totally took it in stride.

We also had two visitors yesterday... It was great to catch up with two good friends and show off my little clan. Hunter loved doing his stacking tower with Ms. Joy and Ms. Christina. They also brought me some more beautiful flowers!

After they left I had to go pick up Emma, Made a freezer meal for dinner, and gave Hunter man a bath...

Once Hunter was in bed Emma and I watched some TV together and I read my real estate book and took a quiz... Very busy weekend!

Now Matt is back at work...

we will see how my first week alone at home goes. It starts out with a doctor appointment for both Emma and Gibson... Taking three kids to the doctor should be interesting!
